Last week, Kiev celebrated the anniversary of Maidan. If you recall, three years ago, the organizers of the coup, which was funded by Pyotr Poroshenko together with the Americans, gathered people in the central square of Kiev and, with the help of extremists and fascist nationalists, violently seized power.

During the clashes, more than a hundred rioters were killed. A civil war began in the country, during which the official death toll exceeded ten thousand people. Ukraine fell into pieces. The inhabitants of Crimea held a referendum and, with a turnout of 83% and by a majority vote of 97%, decided to reunite with Russia. People of Donbass continue to defend themselves with weapons in their hands and are going through a blockade organized by Kiev.

Ukraine's economy collapsed. Ousted President Yanukovych left the country with a GDP of 183 billion dollars per year, a record high since Ukraine’s independence. Ukraine's GDP now is 100 billion lower, thanks to Poroshenko. That is, within three years after Maidan, Ukraine's GDP fell by more than half. At the same time, the national debt grew. Now, it is up to an unmanageably high of 70 billion dollars. The industrial sector has been completely ruined. Social protection systems can’t cope with the increase in costs. Utility bills increased tenfold. The courts are functioning worse than ever before. There is rampant crime. Car thefts are up twofold. The number of robberies increased by half, murders — by two-thirds.

The situation with civil liberties is really bad. Anyone can suddenly have a garbage can put on their head. People are scared. The corruption is unprecedented. The only people who get rich are offshore oligarchs and President Poroshenko. His fortune increased severalfold over three years.

Prospects for joining the EU disappeared. Visa-free travel? Never happened, not going to happen. The free trade zone with the EU is a lie. People are demoralized. The world is tired of Ukraine's constant lying and begging. Ukraine itself is tired of it. They feebly talk about the third Maidan, but crowds of people can’t be gathered for free anymore, and there is no money, no leaders, and no courage. The country is in fear.

On the eve of the anniversary of the coup, ousted President Viktor Yanukovych addressed the leaders of Germany, France, Poland with a letter, including the leaders of the Council of Europe (PACE) of the European Parliament, as well as the presidents of Russia and the United States with a request to give an objective and legal assessment of what happened in Ukraine three years ago.

Yanukovych: "It is possible to restore peace and the rule of law to Ukraine only if we conduct an objective and open investigation of the tragic events of February 2014, which gave rise to a further escalation of the conflict, which grew into a civil war in Ukraine. I have additional information and evidence to name the actual organizers of mass murders during Maidan. Given the reluctance of the current authorities to conduct an objective investigation, I am willing to give this information to a special independent committee from the Council of Europe".

In the same address, Yanukovych reminded that Germany, France, and Poland were the guarantors of a peaceful transition of power in Kiev, but just a day after the signing of the document, when gunmen began to seize power by force, causing a large number of casualties, the leaders of the guarantor countries were no longer returning the phone calls of the president of Ukraine.
